A lovely holiday in a Bed and Breakfast in the Algarve? B&B Casal da Eira offers you modern comfort with rustic charm.
Casal da Eira is set in a historic Portuguese Quinta (farmhouse) which has been renovated and changed into a stylish boutique hotel. We have 2&3p rooms, one familysuite (2 rooms) and a studio apartment. Every room has its own private bathroom ensuite. In the secluded backyard you will find a big swimmingpool. Our guesthouse in the eastern Algarve offers you all comfort for a relaxing holiday.
Our guesthouse is centrally located in the Algarve, 20 minutes from the airport and Faro, and is the ideal base for a beach or more active holiday.
The Algarve has a very beautiful coast with a variety of beaches. There are all kinds of sights and attractions nearby. Visite the local markets or cycle or hike to enjoy the beautiful hinterland of the Algarve.

About us -
CASAL DA EIRA
In 2006 we were in the Algarve for the first time and were impressed with all the delights this part of Portugal had to offer: the beautiful scenery, the people, the atmosphere, the climate and the great food. Life seemed more intense, straightforward and pleasant here. We decided this was where we wanted to live. We would have our own B&B, a dream we had cherished for a long time. Els could already picture herself receiving and pampering guests. Bert could share his passion for cycling with these guests.
The only thing needed was a good property that could make this dream come true.It took seven years to find the perfect embodiment of the house we wanted. Finally we found a terrific house in a fantastic location. For us, the ideal object on the perfect place to realize our dream.
We choose for the Eastern Algarve. For us it was a logical choice. The landscape is almost untouched and there is still a authentic village life. The perfect spot to realize our dream.
We have started our rustic and comfortable bed & breakfast Algarve. Guests can enjoy themselves by going to the beaches, do some cycling or hiking in the hills nearby or enjoy the golf courses.
So here we are at Casal da Eira. We would love to welcome you at our beautiful Quinta.

Location and activities
WALKING AND CYCLING IN THE ALGARVE
Casal da Eira is centrally located in the Algarve, near the nice town São Brás de Alportel. Our holiday rental is an ideal place to stay if you want to explore not only the beautiful coast and beaches of the Algarve (less than a half hour drive), its gorgeous towns but also the beautiful hinterland and the foothills of the Serra de Caldeirão.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful with hills and a diversity of fauna and flora. It is the perfect spot for hiking and cycling. Hiking and cycling in the Algarve is possible through all kinds of landscapes: from the rugged cliffs in the southwest to the salt flats in the east.
Due to the central location of our B&B in the Algarve, we are a perfect starting point to explore the Algarve. From our ‘front door’ you can immediately start hiking or cycling. There are beautiful signposted routes for walkers and for cyclists the roads are as good as empty.
Many of the hiking tours in the hinterland of the Algarve are linked to the long –distance footpath called ’Via Algarviana’ that runs from the Spanish border in the east to Cabo de São Vicente, the most south-westerly point of Europe. The Algarve offers many challenges for cyclists. Climbs up to 500 meters are reachable within a day’s distance from our B&B Algarve.
For the sporty cyclist we offer a cycling holiday Algarve. We arrange a high-quality rental bike for you. As an experienced cyclist, Bert can provide you with extensive information about beautiful tours by road bike, mountain bike or e-bike.

Beaches
There are a lot of beaches in the Algarve. What kind of beach are you looking for? A beach where you can surf or a calm sea for the children, a quiet private beach or a busy and fancy beach, dunes and pine trees in the back or a beach surrounded by cliffs? It’s all there and relatively close to B&B Casal da Eira!
The hinterland of the Algarve
The hinterland lends itself to many sporting activities such as hiking, geocaching, cycling and mountain biking. The altitude varies from 200m to over 500m.
Sâo Brás de Alportel
Our B&B is situated close to São Brás de Alportel. São Brás de Alportel is a popular place due to its central location in the heart of the Algarve, at the foot of the hills of the Serra de Caldeirão. It is a vivid town with many restaurants and cafes. Both the East and West Algarve can be reached quickly and easily from here.

The B&B has 2p/3p rooms, one ‘family suite’ and one studio-apartment. The ‘family suite’ is suitable up to 4 to 5 persons. Ideal for families or friends!
All rooms have a private bathroom with shower or bath.
Furthermore, there is detached from the house, a convenient two/three persons studio-apartment (tiny house) available with bedroom annex living room including air conditioning, separate kitchen, a bathroom and private terrace.
Breakfast is included.
Wi-Fi is available. The rooms and the house are wheelchair accessible.
In the main house is a kitchen and living / dining room available for our guests.
There is a large swimming pool. You will find large terraces and various lounge corners in our garden.
